It is expected to start production in December this year

It is understood that Jinchi Energy Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jinchi Materials) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunan Changyuan Lithium Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Changyuan Lithium), a subsidiary of China Minmetals, and is mainly engaged in the precursor of lithium ion battery cathode materials R & D, production and sales of cathode materials for nickel-metal hydride batteries. In May 2017, China Minmetals Corporation and the Changsha Municipal Government signed a framework agreement, relying on the strong technical strength of the Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and the rich industrial experience and industry influence of Hunan Changyuan Lithium Co., Ltd. as the pillars. The construction of "one hospital, two parks and one fund" has helped Changsha become the world's most important new energy material innovation capital. Among them, China Minmetals National New Energy Material Industry Base with an output value of 20 billion yuan and an annual output of 100,000 tons of new energy materials invested at an investment of 11 billion yuan will promote the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries and become the leader of the 100 billion yuan new energy material industry in Changsha. .

The reporter saw at the project site that the exterior walls of the office building, employee dormitory building, canteen and other buildings have been renovated and the plant has been capped. Xiao Pengcheng introduced that the project officially started in October last year. In July this year, the main construction of civil engineering was fully completed, internal engineering is continuing to advance, and some monomers have entered the equipment installation stage. At the same time, the project has started the recruitment and training of staff, and the first phase of the project is expected to be officially put into production by the end of this year.

It is understood that the total investment of the first phase of the project is 3 billion yuan. After completion, the project will have an annual output of 30,000 tons of automotive lithium battery cathode materials and 15,000 tons of ternary precursors. The second-phase investment is 8 billion yuan, and an annual output of 80,000 tons of automotive lithium battery cathode materials is planned. It is planned to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2021. After completion, it is expected to have an annual output value of 12 billion yuan and an annual tax of 600 million yuan.

Production will be highly intelligent

"After the project is completed, it will not only become the production base of lithium ion battery anode materials with the most advanced technology in the country, but also the production will be highly intelligent." Xiao Pengcheng said that the project production workshop adopts a highly intelligent design and adopts the most advanced FCS at present. System to achieve highly intelligent production. From the input of raw materials to the packaging of the product, the entire process is completed in a closed assembly line. In the future, in intelligent workshops, through the cooperation of related intelligent equipment such as AGV vehicles, RGV vehicles, roller conveyors, stackers, etc., automatic storage and unloading of raw materials and products can be realized, and unmanned operations are completely realized. In terms of environmental protection, the company invested more than 100 million yuan and purchased an MVR desalination system that specializes in wastewater treatment and can achieve zero emissions and pollution.

The project can be accelerated without the support of the government. Xiao Pengcheng said that the project has a green channel from project approval, plan review, and environmental impact assessment.
