China Special Aviation Aluminum Group Would Provide Aviation-grade aluminum sheet for Boeing aircraft

On October 27, the aircraft manufacturer Boeing held the "China-Boeing Aviation Industry Cooperation Forum" in Tianjin, during which it announced a number of agreements to expand and deepen the mutually beneficial partnership between Boeing and China's aviation industry.

The cooperation forum was held in Tianjin Boeing Composite Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianjin Boeing"), a joint venture between Boeing and China Aviation Industry Corporation.

At the forum, Boeing and China Special Aviation Aluminum Group signed an initial agreement, and China Special Aviation Aluminum Group will provide aviation-grade aluminum plates for Boeing aircraft. Mr. Cheng, The chairman of China Special Aviation Aluminum Group, said that he hopes that through this cooperation with Boeing, he will lay a solid foundation for increasing aluminum plate manufacturing business and expanding aluminum extrusion and aluminum titanium forgings business in the future.

Tianjin Boeing has received five new advanced parts production work packages awarded by the Boeing Civil Aircraft Group, including 777X fuel tank doors, 787 horizontal stabilizer wing panels, 737 radomes, 777 radomes and 737 aileron adjustment tabs.

In addition, Tianjin Boeing and Shenyang Xizi Aviation Industry Co., Ltd. signed a contract for 737 cockpit interior wall panels. After passing the subsequent technical certification, Shenyang Xizi will become the first private aviation company in China to become a Boeing sub-supplier.

"With the rapid development of China's civil aviation industry, the mutually beneficial and win-win relationship between Boeing and China's aviation industry partners will bring more market opportunities," said Kent Fisher, vice president and general manager of Boeing civil aircraft supplier management.

Boeing has become the largest international customer of China's aviation industry. China's aviation industry has participated in the manufacture of many Boeing aircraft models, including 737, 747-8, 767, 777, 777X and 787 Dreamliner.
