Constellium plans to add automotive aluminum sheet production line in France

Constellium recently announced plans to add an advanced production line at the Neuf-Brisach plant in France with a total investment of 180 million euros. The new production line mainly produces automotive body aluminum panels.

The new production line is 240 meters long and has an output of 100,000 tons. The main features are high-speed heat treatment, precise temperature control and efficient quenching process. Various innovative technologies enable Constellium to produce high-quality aluminum products for the interior and exterior of cars and body-in-white. This production line has entered the final quality inspection stage and is ready for production.

Constellium CEO, Jean-Marc Germain, said that since joining hands with UACJ to build a joint venture in the United States, the new production line in Neuf-Brisach is another key step for the company to enter the automotive industry. This also shows that the company will meet the needs of car manufacturers with advanced aluminum products and solutions.

Neuf-Brisach was founded in 1967 and is a factory integrating aluminum rolling, processing and recycling. It mainly designs and produces a variety of aluminum coil and aluminum plate products for automotive manufacturers and food and beverage can customers. The new Neuf-Brisach production line will significantly increase Constellium's automotive body panel output and meet the development needs of the automotive market.
