In 2010, SYZT teamed up with Tsinghua University to overcome difficulties and built a world-leading 68,000-ton multi-functional extruder. In 2015, the world's first length of seamless steel was successfully extruded, and then two of the world's longest and heaviest high-alloy hard-deformable steel pipes were successfully extruded, filling the gap in the production of large-diameter nuclear power pipes in the country; Successfully "connecting rod", "crank", "crankshaft", "roulette" and other primary products and large-scale die forgings of discs have become major national basic equipment.
SYZT used 68,000 tons of multi-power extrusion/die forging units to successfully extrude P91 and titanium large-diameter thick-walled titanium alloy seamless pipes with an outer diameter of 700mm and an inner diameter of 430mm. The P91 pipe is 9m long and the titanium pipe is 6.5m long. This is the largest diameter pipe currently extruded from titanium pipes in the world. It once again proves that the SYZT 68,000-ton multi-functional extrusion/die forging unit has the world’s first pipe extrusion capacity, which will promote Qinghai Province and even China The high-end equipment manufacturing industry has made positive contributions.
"P91 pipes can replace imports in the fields of thermal power and nuclear power, and will boost the development of national gas turbine projects; titanium pipes can greatly enhance the combat capabilities of weapons and equipment in the fields of military, thermal power, and nuclear power, and ensure the safety of equipment."
