China’s first fully integrated T/R silicon process was born in Shanghai

Anqiwei Microelectronics, located in Zhangjiang, Pudong, successfully developed China's first fully integrated phased array T / R chip with silicon technology, a milestone step towards the single-chip phased array T / R module. At present, this chip has passed the high and low temperature performance indicators and quality inspection. Now it is orthogonal to the user for system testing.

This new chip developed by Anqiwei Microelectronics integrates multiple high-performance RF modules on a single chip, realizing all the functions of traditional T / R component modules. In addition, its power output is more stable, and the new silicon process also significantly improves its resistance to burnout.

It is understood that T / R components are the basic constituent elements of active array antennas and have a wide range of applications in the fields of integrated radio frequency systems, wave communications and phased array radars. Using low-cost silicon technology to produce T / R chips is a necessary way to achieve product miniaturization and low cost. It is also an important development direction of modern T / R components.

It is reported that the company's chip research and development team is simultaneously developing X and Ku-band fully integrated T / R chips. This technology can be applied to 5G millimeter-wave communications, phased array satellite communications and other applications in the future.
