Haydale launches first graphene-reinforced PLA 3D printed wire

Well-known graphene company Haydale Graphene Industries (HGI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of London-listed company Haydale Composite Solutions (HCS), has announced that it will cooperate with the thermoplastic 3D printing wire manufacturer Filamentprint and Fullerex to promote and sell graphene-reinforced polylactic acid (PLA) wire for 3D printing applications. According to Tiangongshe, this new 3D printed wire will officially appear at the TCT exhibition next month.

Graphene-reinforced PLA PLA 3d printing material

It is reported that this graphene-reinforced PLA wire has two specifications of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm diameters to choose from. The wire has excellent first-layer adhesion and Z-axis strength retention, faster processing speed, and improved Strength and performance, excellent surface effects and improved dimensional accuracy. What's more, the material is compatible with a wide range of 3D printer models, and has been tried out by several 3D printing companies and has received positive reviews.

"We are very excited to develop graphene-reinforced thermoplastics for 3D printing applications. These new materials have many advantages, including the ability to make parts harder, stronger and faster! "Printing speed is an obstacle that prevents 3D printing technology from being applied on a large scale. The prospect of being able to manufacture structural parts directly based on CAD makes us very excited.

In addition to launching its first commercially available graphene-reinforced PLA wire, the company is also working on graphene-reinforced 3D printed wires including ABS, nylon, and PP (polypropylene) materials. In addition, the two companies can also develop custom graphene-reinforced thermoplastic wires based on customer needs to meet specific product requirements.

Haydale CEO Ray Gibbs said: "Our products have achieved excellent results in the trial process, which convinced us that we are ready for this fast-growing world-class market."
