China’s first national standard for graphene materials is officially released

China's first national standard for graphene GB / T30544.13-2018: "Nanotechnical Terminology Part 13: Graphene and related two-dimensional materials" has been officially released recently and will be implemented on November 1, 2019.

According to reports, graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms formed by combining one carbon atom with three neighboring carbon atoms to form a honeycomb structure. Because graphene has many excellent properties such as electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, its application prospect is very broad, and it has aroused great interest in both academia and commerce.

As a new type of nanomaterial, graphene is called "the king of new materials". Based on excellent optical, electrical, and mechanical properties, graphene has great industrial application value in many fields such as semiconductors, flexible electronics, biomedicine, and sensor detection, or it will set off a disruptive new technological revolution that sweeps the world.

In recent years, breakthroughs have been made in the preparation, testing, research and application of graphene, and various new technologies and products have emerged one after another, marking that graphene has gradually stepped out of the laboratory to become industrialized, and standardization has become an urgent need.

At this critical stage of the development of the graphene industry, as one of the earliest companies in China to carry out research, testing, application and standardization of graphene, Juna New Energy took the lead in formulating a standardization strategy and standard system for enterprise development, and carried out standard layout in advance .

China's graphene standardization has received strong support from relevant national departments. "Nanotechnology Terminology Part 13: Graphene and Related Two-Dimensional Materials" is one of the first national standard planning projects in the field of graphene in China, and it is also the first national standard for graphene officially released. The formulation and release of this standard will provide the basic basis for a unified technical terminology for the fields of graphene production, application, inspection, distribution, scientific research, etc. It is an important basis and prerequisite for the research and formulation of various technical standards for graphene.

This national standard, for the first time, clearly answers the core hot issues of common concern of the upstream and downstream related industries of graphene. Its content not only fully considers the opinions and suggestions of various domestic circles, but also is consistent with international standards.
