Kwambio showcases adhesive-jet ceramic 3D printer at CES

Kwambio is a New York-based startup. On January 14, 2019, we learned from foreign media that the company demonstrated a new adhesive-jet-based desktop ceramic 3D printer Ceramo Zero Max at CES 2019 held last week. ($ 5,000) and Ceramo Two ($ 45,000), a new industrial 3D printer.

Previously, the ceramic 3D printers we reported were mainly based on the FDM process and SLA / DLP light curing process, while Kwambio's ceramic machine is based on the binder jet process.

Kwambio is primarily known as an on-demand ceramic manufacturer for the design industry. The company sends more than 12,000 items to customers worldwide every year. At last year's CES Kwambio showed off their first ceramic 3D printer, Ceramo One, which is based on adhesive spray technology, mixing ceramic or silicon dioxide powder with a water-based adhesive and printing layer by layer.

Ceramo Zero Max is the new desktop version of Ceramo One, which uses the same technology, but with a smaller machine size. It prints 4 layers per minute, and its build size is 150 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm with a resolution of 300 dpi per layer.

Vlad Usov, CEO of Kwambio, stated, "Smaller ceramic printers are ideal for those who print prototypes every day. With our equipment, the printing process is very fast and it is efficient if no glazing and firing is required Method of making prototypes. "

Dwriy Skomorokhov, Kwambio's sales director, added, "Canadian and American entrepreneurs design stylish smoking pipes and other accessories for smokers, and Kwambio prints thousands of them each year. Many of our customers are considering the help of Ceramo Zero Max in By producing their products indoors, we can help them build a complete production system within their budget. "

Kwambio also offers their own proprietary sustainable sources of clay and glass powders, all of which come with water-based binders. Other optional equipment offered by Kwambio are a kiln ($ 3,000) and a sifting station ($ 2,000).

Kwambio wrote: "The new material we developed, a mixture of ceramic powder and alumina, is used in engineering and metal casting. It has higher density and lower firing shrinkage, it can be used in metallurgy because it can Withstands contact with molten metals at temperatures up to 1300 ° C (most alloys). It is also a ferroelectric and can make complex leaching rods. "

The new ceramic 3D printers Ceramo Zero Max and Ceramo Two are currently available for pre-order on Kwambio.com and are expected to ship to customers in July 2019.
