China’s five lithium battery and lithium battery material companies jointly invest 700 million yuan to build a lithium battery cathode material project

On November 13, CATL, Tianhua Chaojing, Changjiang Morning Road, Ningbo Hanyi Investment Partnership (Partnership), Ningbo Meishan Bonded Port Area Chaoxing Investment Partnership (Limited Partnership), Tianyuan Group, five companies The agency signed an investment agreement in Ningde City, Fujian Province, jointly invested in the establishment of a new company and invested in the construction of lithium battery materials projects, further strengthening the parties' industrial layout in the lithium battery industry.

The newly invested company will settle in Jiang'an County Industrial Park, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, and will be tentatively named Yibin Tianyi Lithium Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Tianyi Lithium) with a registered capital of 700 million yuan. Among them, Tianhua Super Clean, Yangtze River Morning Road, Ningde Times, Tianyuan Group, Ningbo Hanyi Investment and Ningbo Chaoxing will respectively invest 294 million yuan, 182 million yuan, 105 million yuan, 70 million yuan, 31.5 million yuan and 1750 10,000 yuan, respectively accounting for 42.00%, 26.00%, 15.00%, 10.00%, 4.50% and 2.50% of the shares.

The joint venture company established this time will focus on the lithium-ion new energy industry chain, focusing on scientific research and development, production and operation funds, and fixed assets investment in lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, and ternary, lithium iron phosphate and other cathode materials. And plans to build an annual output of 40,000 tons of lithium battery materials. The project is constructed in two phases. The first phase of the project is planned to produce 20,000 tons of lithium battery materials per year and is expected to be completed and put into operation at the end of 2019. The second phase is expected to produce 20,000 tons of lithium battery materials and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2021.
