China's high-speed rail industry has developed rapidly in recent years. The common people have also truly enjoyed the convenience of life and work brought by the high-speed rail.

Although the localization rate of high-speed rail components in China has exceeded 97%, high-speed rail bearings are still all imported from Sweden, Germany, Japan and other countries.

On the afternoon of October 14, the "Research on the Autonomous Approach of High-speed Railway Bearings" symposium and consultation meeting was held in HNLZ.

At the scene, He Huawu, vice president and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Fan Huitao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, deputy director of the Science and Technology Committee of China Aviation Industry Corporation, Huang Xiaowei, a professor-level senior engineer and chief expert of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and China National Automotive Industry Corporation, CRRC Wang Jun, member of the Standing Committee of the Co., Ltd. Hay Think learned at the scene that HNLZ has completed product design, process research and sample manufacturing of high-speed railway bearings with speeds of 250 kilometers and 350 kilometers per hour. The product has passed the 1.2 million kilometers durability bench test, and the test results show that the bearing is in good condition and meets the standard requirements. HNLZ has mastered the development technology of high-speed rail bearings and basically has the conditions for mass production of high-speed rail bearings. This will effectively break the monopoly of foreign technology and solve one of the "stuck neck" problems of my country's high-speed rail technology.

Bearings used on high-speed trains are not ordinary. They are a key component of high-speed trains. They determine the high-speed, smooth and safe operation of high-speed trains.

The research and development of high-speed rail bearings involves the collaboration of independent technologies in multiple links such as bearing steel materials, bearing design, bearing manufacturing, and sealing and lubrication. In addition, China's high-speed railway operating environment is complex, and needs to deal with the heat and humidity in the south, the low temperature in the north, and the wind and sand in the northwest.

This is also a huge test for high-speed rail bearings. Therefore, high-speed rail bearings have very high performance requirements in various aspects. For example, the operating environment must withstand a high temperature difference of -40 degrees to 40 degrees, and the maintenance-free period is not less than 1.45 million km.

However, due to the relatively low share of bearings in the production cost of motor cars, China has always lacked the "driving force" for the development of localized bearings.

"In terms of cost saving, the bearing application department of high-speed EMUs lacks the pressure and power for localization." Professor Wei Shizhong, vice president of Henan University of Science and Technology, analyzed on site. At present, if domestically-made axlebox bearings are used instead of imported, each car can save about 32,000 yuan, but this only accounts for 1.6% of the cost of each car.

However, although the demand and sales of high-speed rail axlebox bearings are not large, this is the commanding height of the bearing industry's technology and market and is of great significance.

HNLZ was founded in 1954 and is one of the 156 key projects during China's "First Five-Year Plan" period. It still maintains a number of records in the Chinese bearing industry. We have developed and produced more than 20,000 specifications, ranging from bearings with an inner diameter of 10 mm to bearings with a diameter of 13.5 meters.
