After the successful ground test of China's largest commercial aerospace large solid launch vehicle, the partners of HBHT Carbon Fiber Technology Group's research and development team embraced excitedly. As the part that allows the rocket to obtain thrust and adjust the thrust magnitude and direction, the rocket engine nozzle is the most extreme and harsh part of the solid rocket engine working environment. More than two-thirds of engine failures are caused by the nozzle.

Traditional solid rocket engine nozzles are made of high-strength metal materials. The nozzles have high density, large negative quality, and limited strength. It is difficult to meet the needs of large carrying capacity. Later, composite nozzles were used to replace traditional metal nozzles. Obviously reduce the negative quality of the rocket engine and improve its performance, but the assembly structure of each component is complicated, the process is lengthy and the reliability is limited. In order to solve these pain points, under the guidance of rocket designers, HBHT has made bold innovations in three aspects of design, craftsmanship and materials.


In terms of key material innovation, HBHT cooperates with China Special Resin Research Institute for Carbon Fiber Composite Materials to overcome the problems of high performance and light weight of composite nozzles from the perspective of materials.
