On August 11, China's leading fiber-grade polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin and PPS fiber, NHU-PPA manufacturer ZJXH spent 140 million yuan to acquire glass fiber reinforced nylon (PA6, PA66 &HTN), TPU, PBT, PET manufacturing Quotient ZJNY.
For the purpose of this transaction, ZJXH stated that the company's polyphenylene sulfide resin has reached a leading position in China. In order to leverage the synergy of the new material industry chain and regional synergy, it will develop polyphenylene sulfide granulation business, long glass fiber reinforcement business, and polyphenylene sulfide resin. The sulfide film and extrusion business provides guarantee for downstream application processing of new materials and further enhances product competitiveness.
ZJXH's 2019 annual report shows that in terms of new polymer materials, the company's key products mainly include PPS and PPA. In 2019, PPS completed technological transformation and expansion, and through the implementation of technological transformation projects and the close integration of production, supply, marketing and research, production costs were effectively controlled. PPS resin and DSM have carried out a strategic cooperation, erPPS Fiber and Toyobo have carried out a strategic cooperation, and the product quality and production technology have been significantly improved; the new material business revenue was 669 million yuan, an increase of 68.05% over the same period last year.
