Recently, ZGHT Special Industrial Valve Technology Group and China ZSY Propane Dehydrogenation Project successfully signed a double wedge gate valve and plunger valve product contract. The contract value exceeded 100 million yuan, setting a new high for the largest single contract value of its product.
The double wedge gate valve is the core process valve of the methanol-to-olefin (MTO) and propane dehydrogenation unit. It plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation of the unit. Its application environment is coupled with high temperature, high corrosion, high abrasion and extremely high frequency of action. Various working conditions make it very difficult to develop.
After nearly 10 years of unremitting technological innovation and accumulation, ZGHT's R&D team finally broke the monopoly for the first time in 2019 based on MTO device application experience, and realized the application of the product in the more demanding propane dehydrogenation device.
The propane dehydrogenation unit has mature technology, high conversion rate and strong market competitiveness. Its main product, propylene, is expected to exceed 46.5 million tons in domestic demand in 2025, and the market scale is considerable.
The signing of the contract signifies that ZGHT has established the first set of double wedge gate valves in the country’s largest propane dehydrogenation unit, further consolidating product performance accumulation, expanding market influence, and laying a solid foundation for the overall market promotion of this product .
