The company's newly developed materials such as superconducting niobium plates for large-scale colliders and superconducting niobium-titanium alloys for nuclear magnetic resonance have been commercialized.

The international market share of NXDF's core products, capacitor-grade tantalum powder, is over 25%, and the international market share of tantalum wire for anode leads of tantalum capacitors is over 35%.

High-end tantalum powder and tantalum wire have established extensive cooperative relations with major international tantalum-niobium capacitor manufacturers such as the United States, Germany, Japan, and South Korea. A series of products such as tantalum, niobium and their alloy products have won the title of "China Famous Brand Product" for many times. In 2017, the operating income was 1.245 billion yuan.

In the past 10 years, the company has undertaken and completed 110 national and provincial scientific research projects, won 12 national and provincial science and technology awards, 10 key products have been rated as national new products, and has 39 international patents.

Metal niobium has good superconductivity and thermal conductivity. The transition temperature of metal niobium is 9 17K and has a high critical magnetic field (Hc). The good mechanical properties of metal niobium are also particularly suitable for processing into various shapes of microwave resonators. So far, the metal niobium has become the material of choice for the fabrication of superconducting acceleration cavities.

Tantalum powder provides samples to customers. Ternary materials began to supply small batches. Completed the research and development of a new process for the production of spin-coated niobium targets. Crystal-grade tantalum niobium oxide is available in small quantities.
