On January 11, in the wind power bearing production workshop of DLWF Bearing Technology Group, a leading large-scale bearing manufacturer in China, Wang Lijun, the operator of the Z2 production line CNC turning grinding equipment, was busy unloading the processed products from the machine tool. The company now mainly processes 5MW and 5.5MW yaw pitch bearings. Because the product specifications are large and the processing cycle is greatly extended, they are optimizing the processing technology and improving production efficiency.
In 2020, China's wind power industry will achieve higher-than-expected growth due to the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic and the obstruction of international trade. The wind power bearing orders undertaken by DLWF have shown explosive growth. From the resumption of work in April 2020 until the end of the year, the sales revenue in 2020, which is full of production, increased by 249% over 2019.
DLWF has realized the transformation from the production of yaw pitch bearings below 3.0MW to large-scale wind turbine bearings and offshore wind turbine bearings above 3.0MW. The sales revenue of new yaw pitch bearings increased by 65% compared with 2019. New gearboxes and generators were added. R&D projects for new products such as, drives, etc., and completed the delivery of prototype supporting products for many key projects of customers, laying a solid foundation for order growth in 2021.
Under the national carbon neutral strategy, the wind power industry, as one of the important forces of clean energy, will continue to show a major development trend, with the single-unit capacity of wind turbines developing from 3MW to 5MW, 7MW, and 10MW.
