China’s new anti-coking aluminum-containing superalloy furnace tube was successfully used in a million-ton ethylene facility for the first time Hay:A04QDXL

The No. 4 cracking furnace of Sinopec's million-ton ethylene plant used a new type of anti-coking aluminum-containing superalloy furnace tube for the first time, and successfully completed the first 130-day operating cycle, which was twice as long as the original furnace tube scorching cycle. Judging from the inspection of the first operating cycle after the application of the new furnace tube in the No. 4 cracking furnace, the effect of the application of the new furnace tube is remarkable.


In order to ensure that the replaced furnace tube meets the target requirements of good anti-coking performance and long-term operation, the project team of Sinopec Corporation finally decided to adopt the research and development of QDXL Industrial Tube Technology Corporation. and obtained the national invention patent authorization and anti-coking performance. The advanced new type aluminum-containing high-temperature alloy furnace tube, which contains higher aluminum content than the old furnace tube, has a smaller catalytic coking effect on the surface of the furnace tube, a more uniform heat flux distribution, and a higher heat transfer coefficient. It is completely resistant to oxidation at a high temperature of 1200°C, which can effectively extend the operating cycle of the cracking furnace.


The aluminum-containing superalloy furnace tube is the first of its kind in China. The product has been successfully applied to important first (set) sets of equipment, which will help transform scientific and technological achievements into productivity and promote the development of furnace tube material application in China's ethylene cracking industry.
