China’s VR/AR high-end optical component manufacturer occupies 70% of the global VR headset market share Hay:F06SDGE

On August 17, SDGE`s CTO Dr. Jiang said at the 2021 Micro Display Optics Technology Conference that VR/AR, as a new generation computing platform, has a very broad market prospect. SDGE has started to deploy the VR/AR industry in 2012 and currently occupies the global market. High-end virtual reality headsets have a 70% market share, and are the first to introduce the world's leading 12-inch nano-imprint production line to create a world-leading VR/AR high-end optical component industry base.

This conference invited more than 20 industry experts to discuss key technologies, latest developments and industrial prospects in the field of microdisplay optics. At the conference, people from the University of Central Florida, the University of Arizona, Zhejiang University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Experts from 20 domestic and foreign universities, institutes and enterprises, including Shanghai Institute of Optics and Mechanics, Japan's Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, and SDGE, made reports online.

Since Google took the lead in creating AR glasses, AR glasses have become the new darling of the digital world. Many companies and teams have participated in the research and development of AR glasses and related technologies.

In order to optimize the structure of existing AR glasses, SDGE applied for an invention patent named "AR glasses" on March 5, 2021. The more stable structure of the AR glasses solution invented by SDGE can effectively solve the optical parameter changes caused by the deformation of AR glasses. Multiple connection components are used to avoid the possibility of frame deformation caused by the deformation of the hanger, thereby reducing the wearing or breaking The effect of moving the temples on optical imaging and improve the accuracy of optical imaging.

In terms of MEMS, the well-known market research and strategy consulting company Yole Development of France recently released a report on the status of the MEMS industry in 2020. The report shows that SDGE has risen to the sixth place in the revenue ranking of MEMS manufacturers in 2020, making it into the top ten for the first time after last year. After that, it only took one year to rank sixth, and it was also the only Chinese company in the top ten.
