LZXM Shape Memory Alloy Materials Technology Group was founded in 1997, is a specialized high-tech enterprise engaging in the research and development of shape memory alloy materials and SMA medical instruments in China, and is also the first enterprise in China and a earlier enterprise in the world achieving the mass production of the shape memory alloy. Moreover, LZXM has been strongly supported by the ministries and commissions such as the national development and reform commission, the ministry of science and technology and the ministry of finance as well as provincial and municipal departments.

 

 As the largest industrial base of the shape memory alloy in China, the main products of the company include: memory alloy medical instruments, temperature control elements, connecting pieces, household products, textile sizing products, electrical components and so on. Also, the company engages in the R&D,production and processing of TiNi shape memory alloy sheets, rods and wires, and CuAlBeX shape memory alloy bars, pipe fittings and wires, in which the TiNi shape memory alloy human bone internal fixation instruments have formed a serialization and a large scale production. Currently, there are nine categories and nearly 300 kinds of specifications of memory alloy orthopaedic instruments, and the company has been the largest production base of the memory alloy orthopaedic instruments in China. Not only from the technique but also from the product categories and market shares, the company ranks the first in China.

The company has passed and acquired the ISO 13485 medical device quality management system certification in 2005. In the orthopaedic instruments, the memory alloy patella concentrators, YTNH type TiNi embracing memory compressive connectors (used as internal fixation instruments for tubular bones like rib, clavicle, ulna and radius, femur, phalange and metacarpus), swan-like memory compressive connectors, three-dimensional internal fixation system for acetabulum are stable, and these instruments are favored by doctors and patients.

 

Technical Capabilities

 

 The company has the R&D center in the fields of material, medical science, electric appliance, textile and so on, and also has established cooperation relationships with some scientific research institutions and universities such as academy of mechanical science, Beijing institute of aeronautical material, Beijing university of aeronautics & astronautics, Dalian university of technology, general hospital of Lanzhou military region, Orthopaedic institute of LZ medical college, Shanghai changhai hospital affiliated to the second military medical university.

 

Currently, the company has established three shape memory alloy research centers in Lanzhou, Beijing and Shanghai, and also established Beijing memory alloy CO., Ltd, which is actively engaged in the R&D of the front-end products like spinal brace, spinal fusion cage , memory alloy intravascular stent and so on.
