The outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has promoted the demand for Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine. The glass bottles containing the vaccine have higher requirements for chemical stability, acid and water resistance, heat and cold resistance.

In order to develop vaccine bottles in China, AHBL upgraded the production technology of ordinary soda-lime medicinal glass to 5.0 neutral borosilicate medicinal glass, and improved the hydrolysis resistance, acid resistance and alkali resistance of traditional medicinal glass bottles. This technical indicator overcomes the "bottleneck" problem of the vaccine bottle industry chain and develops China's first neutral borosilicate glass tube for vaccines.


AHBL has built 17 high-end platforms including the industry's first national key laboratory of new float glass technology, and has a series of platforms including the industry's only national glass new material manufacturing innovation center.
