On December 13, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. successfully trialled new formula additives to successfully produce a new transparent polypropylene product M26ETW, marking that Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd.'s domestically produced additives have the ability to replace imports.
Since the launch of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Transparent Polypropylene series products, they have been widely favored by customers. The products have continued to increase and have been exported to overseas markets for many times. The differentiated benefits are obvious. Previously, the core agents used in the production of this type of polypropylene products were imported from abroad and the cost was relatively high. In order to further tap the potential and increase efficiency, starting from the beginning of this year, Zhenhai Refining and Chemicals organized the research and development, production, quality and sales and other departments to start with the transparent polypropylene formulation system and increase the technical research on domestic core agents.
The research team screened 6 kinds of transparent nucleating agents made in China, and formulated them with other additives in different proportions. The effects of high temperature resistance, transparency, haze, flexural modulus, and other resin properties were tested repeatedly. Finally, a domestically-made additive formula for transparent polypropylene with stable data and cost consideration was finally developed, and industrialized trials were conducted in production equipment.
The successful production of 240 tons of M26ETW new products broke the technological monopoly of foreign additives in the production of transparent polypropylene in Zhenhai. After the application of this localized additive, the annual cost reduction and efficiency increase of about 6 million yuan can be realized based on the 2018 output.
