On April 26, the "High-strength aluminum alloy engine connecting rod development and industrial application" project jointly declared by YLCX Machinery Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Zhongke Yinghua Technology Research Institute held a project launching ceremony in Yulin. The leaders of Guangxi Development Strategy Research Society, Yuchai Group, Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau, Yulin Science and Technology Bureau, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the launching ceremony.
The "High-strength aluminum alloy engine connecting rod development and industrial application" project was supported by the "Guangxi Innovation-Driven Development Special Project (Major Science and Technology Project)" in October 2018. The total contract value of the project was 69 million yuan, of which 8 million was allocated by the Guangxi Autonomous Region. yuan. Aiming at the development trend of automobile lightweight and energy saving and emission reduction, the project studies the use of 9 series high-performance aluminum alloys to produce diesel or high-end gasoline engine connecting rods, and strives to solve the worldwide problem of high strength and light weight of connecting rods. The results can effectively improve the performance and reliability of the engine, enhance China's international competitiveness in the field of engine parts, and promote the development and industrialization of diesel or high-end gasoline engines with independent intellectual property rights in China. The project was co-ordinated by Guo Deming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group and Chairman of Yulin Chengxin Company, and Yuan Xundao, Research Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Changchun Yinghua Institute and Executive Deputy Dean of Qingdao Zhongke Yinghua.
After the launching ceremony, the leaders visited the production site of Yuchai Co., Ltd. and Chengxin Company.
