CINNO Research Industry Information. DuPont opens a new liquid PI factory for flexible panel substrates in Cheonan, South Korea. On the 18th, DuPont Electronics and Imaging Group stated that in order to cope with the rapidly growing flexible panel market, a liquid PI factory for flexible panel substrates was completed in the Cheonan Foreign Investment Park. The new DuPont Liquid PI line will produce colored and transparent liquid PIs required for flexible folding and transparent panels. Liquid PI can replace hard glass substrates to realize various forms of panels, and it is also one of the necessary materials for transparent panels.
DuPont has made various investments in R & D facilities and manufacturing in South Korea over the past 20 years. In Cheonan, we produce cutting-edge materials in the field of panel manufacturing, and develop new electronic material technologies at the R & D center in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do. Through this new liquid PI factory, the localization level of R & D and production can be further enhanced.
