Evonik launches a new 3D printing brand INFINAM®

Evonik integrated its ready-to-use 3D printing material series products and launched a new brand-INFINAM®. The new brand includes a series of custom-designed high-performance materials that can meet the unlimited possibilities of 3D printing related applications.

Thomas Große-Puppendahl, Head of Evonik's Additive Manufacturing Innovation and Growth Area, said: "The INFINAM® brand positioning is clear and will help customers and partners better understand Evonik's additive manufacturing product portfolio. In addition to the already launched main visual design and'infinite satisfaction In addition to the "realistic" brand promise, the new brand name will also play a vital role in establishing our unique market image, which means that the use of Evonik products can open up unlimited possibilities for 3D applications."

The new brand sets new quality standards

In the future, all ready-to-use materials used for 3D printing under Evonik will be sold under the brand name INFINAM®, regardless of the form of delivery or technical application. The full name of the brand will be suffixed with related categories of polymers or materials to ensure a clear distinction from the existing material series. E.g:

All products based on thermoplastic copolyester will be branded under INFINAM® TPC

All products based on PEEK will be branded under INFINAM® PEEK

All products based on thermoplastic amide will be branded INFINAM® TPA

All durable and impact-resistant photosensitive resins will bear the INFINAM® TI brand

Since last year, Evonik has entered the field of new additive manufacturing materials. Now, the INFINAM® brand has emerged. In the next few months, Evonik plans to launch the first batch of photosensitive resin products for additive manufacturing, thereby setting additional standards for the quality and performance of 3D printing materials. The company also plans to expand its expertise in the field of technical services, as evidenced by the recently opened Structured Polymers Technology Center in Austin, Texas.

The brand names of biomedical materials products remain unchanged

Evonik offers a broad product portfolio for 3D printing biomaterials used in the medical field. For plastic implants, the product portfolio includes VESTAKEEP® i4 3DF polyetheretherketone (PEEK) filaments that can be in long-term contact with the human body and the RESOMER® product line of bioabsorbable filaments, powders and granules. The above-mentioned specialty materials of various brands are in compliance with their own strict medical application polymer standards and specifications. Therefore, these products have not been transferred to the INFINAM® product range and will continue to be sold under the brand names of VESTAKEEP® and RESOMER®.
