Triacetoneamine derivatives are important precursors for the production of hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS). The additive is used at low concentrations to improve the stability of polymers under light, oxygen, and high temperatures. The service life of plastics can be extended up to 10 times. Yao Zhong, general manager of Evonik Tianda, said: "The new production capacity enables us to better support the growth of our customers and serve the global market more effectively." The plant expansion started in 2017 and was successfully completed in March of this year.
