Toray Japan will increase carbon fiber production in Hungary in order to meet growing demand in the wind power industry in Europe. It will cost more than $ 90 million to build the plant in northern Hungary, which is the new Zortec plant. Combined with its plant in Mexico, it currently has an overall annual production capacity of 20,000 tons and is scheduled to start in 2020.
