Huntsman launches new all-water foam DALTOPED AquaPUR sole system to achieve better footwear surface treatment

● The new DALTOPED AquaPUR technology will be exhibited at DESMA House from September 19th to 20th.

● Huntsman Polyurethanes today announced the launch of DALTOPED® AquaPUR technology, an innovative fully water-foamable polyether sol solution that provides excellent flowability and surface clarity, making the soles more beautiful and comfortable.

DALTOPED® AquaPUR technology will be unveiled at the DESMA House 2018 this week. The technology enables high-quality surface treatments. Footwear manufacturers often associate surface treatments with physical foaming systems. DALTOPED®AquaPUR technology is designed to provide a better look and better sole feel for a variety of footwear, including comfortable casual shoes. It can be used in a variety of densities and is suitable for direct processing and casting unit soles and midsole sandwiches.

DALTOPED® AquaPUR technology has all the standard functions required for polyether materials, including good cold bending properties, resistance to hydrolysis and non-slip, and excellent processability. It is compatible with standard polyurethane processing machines, has excellent flow characteristics and enables complex designs with multiple color options. This material has excellent mixing stability in the machine tank and can be processed at room temperature, which helps reduce energy consumption and shorten production cycles.
