Component supplier Inteva Product announced that it has reached a cooperation agreement with China New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SZRG"). Under the agreement, SZRG will supply Inteva with a material solution called Inteather ™ to meet the needs of the Chinese automotive market.
Speaking of Inteva, the industry will have more understanding of its sunroof business. In fact, Inteva has layouts in three major areas: door lock switches, interior decoration, and motors. In terms of interiors, Inteva can provide interior parts and modules to OEMs such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and BMW. According to the agreement, the cooperation between Inteva and SZRG will focus on automotive internal components and systems, such as car cockpits, dashboards, door trims and consoles. SZRG will provide materials based on Inteva's product and process specifications to meet the local procurement needs of car manufacturers across China.
Gerard Roose, vice president of sales and marketing at Inteva, said: "Working with local supplier SZRG allows us to better meet the needs of the Chinese automotive market. Our local production of Inteather materials will also benefit Chinese car manufacturers . "
In fact, Intather launched Inteather material in 2012, which can help customers reduce their product weight by 40%. In terms of glass lifters and door modules, in order to meet customers' more stringent requirements for weight, Inteva has developed the latest composite material lifters and integrated miniature door modules. Process and lightweight materials can reduce customer's assembly process and increase production line efficiency while reducing weight. Inteather materials are also recyclable.
