K Düsseldorf 2019: Ascend Performance Materials LLC to debut with new specialty polymers

The pre-show press conference of the 019 Dusseldorf International Plastics and Rubber Fair (K Show) was held in Antwerp, Belgium last week. At the conference, Ascend Performance Materials announced a series of growth plans, including new specialty polymer projects, capacity expansion, and global business expansion. As a world-renowned large-scale integrated PA66 product series manufacturer, management representatives from Ascend also introduced the company's efforts and contributions in the field of sustainable development.

Ascend's new products include long-term high-temperature and chemical-resistant long-chain PAs, antibacterial PA66 resins for fiber production processes, expanded environmentally-friendly recycled product portfolio, and new flame-retardant Vydyne PA66 .

At the press conference, Mr. Scott Rook, Senior Vice President of Global Business of Ascend, also discussed Ascend's capacity expansion plan.

"We have always focused on meeting the needs of our customers," said Mr. Rook. "Our plan to expand adiponitrile capacity is to respond to the growing demand of the PA66 market, while helping our specialty polymer and chemical business grow rapidly. We continue to develop new products to help our customers better respond to a variety of New challenges. "Recently, Ascend announced that its production base in Decatur, Alabama, USA has added 90,000 tons of adiponitrile capacity.

Ascend will continue to expand its global business, continuously improve technical service levels in Europe and Asia, and work with customers in these regions to develop various solutions. Ascend acquired a modified material manufacturer in Tilburg, the Netherlands last year, which is the first production base operated by Ascend outside the United States.

"We will continue to increase investment in local resources in each market and strive to be closer to our customers. In addition, we have also restructured our regional business team and further expanded our supply chain channels to meet the growing global market demand." Mr Rook said.
