KBR plans to use Cummins’ Proton exchange membrane electrolysis technology

On May 5, 2021, KBR and Cummins signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The two parties will jointly provide a complete integrated solution to produce synthetic ammonia using renewable resources as raw materials, which is what we call " Green synthetic ammonia".

Under the terms of the MOU, KBR plans to integrate Cummins' Proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis technology into its proprietary K-GreeN® green synthetic ammonia solution. KBR and Cummins have unique advantages and market leadership positions in synthetic ammonia technology and electrolysis technology, respectively. The strong cooperation of the two parties will provide global customers with comprehensive and competitive green synthetic ammonia solutions.
