KraussMaffei brand integration, KraussMaffei, KraussMaffei Berstorff and Netstal belong to KraussMaffei

German rubber and plastics machine maker KraussMaffei is undergoing a major integration.

The company is currently integrating all of its business units and all of its brands KraussMaffei, KraussMaffei Berstorff and Netstal under the name KraussMaffei.

This repositioning is in line with its "Compass" corporate strategy, and the company's establishment of a new Digital Services Solutions Business Unit (DSS) means that the company has taken the first step in change.

KraussMaffei CEO Frank Stieler believes that the integration of the brand reflects the company's unique characteristics: "As one of the technology leaders in the plastics industry, KraussMaffei offers innovative and customized solutions to customers in all industries The plan, which fits our new motto: "Pioneer Plastics. (Pioneering Plastics) "

As part of the repositioning, all subsidiaries and their offices will now operate under the name "KraussMaffei".

Netstal-Maschinen AG (Näfels / Switzerland) will be named "KraussMaffei High Performance AG". Its high-performance injection molding machines will be integrated into the KraussMaffei portfolio through the existing Netstal product brand, which means that the Netstal name will remain the same.

The KraussMaffei Berstorff brand, which specializes in extrusion technology, will also be integrated into KraussMaffei, and its name will be adjusted to "KraussMaffei Extrusion GmbH".

After the integration, there will be a new corporate logo (LOGO), which will be promoted to more audiences during K2019.

Multiple business units are unveiled at the same time, supporting the further integration of the injection molding, extrusion and reaction process machinery divisions, which have already worked together for many applications such as lightweight construction.

This means customers can choose the solution that works best for them from the entire technology portfolio. In the areas of automation and digitization, the latter has now evolved into a DSS department, which has been committed to developing innovative solutions across technology areas.

Closed-Loop Production: The Bucket Turns into a Car A-pillar

The new "Pioneering Plastics" concept represents the pioneering spirit that the company and all its brands have maintained since its foundation in 1838.

When plastics cause controversy in society, KraussMaffei will focus on the practical implementation of this concept. This is why KraussMaffei i is committed to contributing to the development of the circular economy through new products and services.

As a pioneer in plastics recovery, recycling and remixing, KraussMaffei has invested more than 30 years of research and development in recycling to help customers move towards a recycled plastic economy.

In plastic recycling, KraussMaffei will continue to pioneer and play its technological pioneer role. This strategic focus was also demonstrated at this year's K2019 show. (Hall 15, Booth C24-C27).

Product packaging is usually short-lived. So why not reuse them as raw materials, such as new high-tech product materials for the automotive industry?

Under the circular economy production model, at the K 2019 exhibition, KraussMaffei turned the barrel into a car A-pillar, and demonstrated the production of closed-loop materials and production lines combining extrusion and injection molding machinery.

During K2019, customers can watch a polypropylene bucket being recycled into a car's A-pillar at the KraussMaffei exhibition site. Extrusion technology and injection machinery departments will also cooperate here.

The heroes behind this include KraussMaffei's ZE28 BluePower twin-screw extruder, which has been upgraded and recycled to make it a new usable material.

Under the theme of circular economy, during the K2019 exhibition, KraussMaffei will unite its EXT (extruder), IMM (injection molding machine) and DSS (digital service solution) business units.

A GX 1100 injection molding machine with a clamping force of 11,000 kN will be unveiled during K2019. It will use polypropylene to produce barrel containers on the site, then shred the outside and enter the material circulation circle as a recycled material.

At K2019, KraussMaffei upgrades its GX series with models that increase clamping force by 11,000 kN

To this end, pigments and 20% talc are added to polypropylene sheets, granulated and dried under water, and then high-quality materials suitable for performance standards for subsequent injection molding applications are mixed again.

Then, the feeder delivers the upgraded and modified polypropylene to the all-electric PX 320 injection molding machine, and then the polypropylene is injection molded into the cavity into an A-pillar panel, and the surface of the part forms an overmolded fabric layer.

New Polymore online trading platform launched

Another highlight displayed during K2019 is Polymore, a new B2B online trading market that focuses on the buying and selling of chemicals, masterbatches, recycled materials and industrial waste in Europe. It is another example of sustainable development.

Polymore is a platform for everyone in the industry, not just KraussMaffei's customers. This platform demonstrates how companies can transcend the boundaries of machinery and contribute to the era of circular economy. It connects injection molding machines and recycling machines in the industry chain. The platform will be officially launched during K2019.

"Klaus Maffei is a firm supporter of the circular economy and pursues environmental and social development. We know our responsibility in the environment and are working on a series of projects to open up new business areas and partners in plastic recycling Relationship, "Frank Stieler said.
