Lubrizol 3D printed ESTANE 3DTPUM95A TPU powder passed skin allergy test

On April 6, 2020, Lubrizol Engineering Polymers announced that its ESTANE 3DTPUM95A powder TPU has passed skin allergy and cytotoxicity tests in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization 10993-5 and 10993-10. This makes ESTANE 3D TPU M95A a valuable material solution for product designers, developing 3D printing materials for end applications that require regular skin contact. This achievement builds on Lubrizol ’s long tradition of developing safe and innovative materials for skin contact applications, from consumer products to medical devices, and reflects Lubrizol ’s mission to continuously improve lives.

Skin contact suitability is a new attribute that complements the broader benefits that ESTANE 3D TPU M95A brings to applications, including high levels of flexibility, durability, impact resistance and chemical resistance, and energy rebound. The ESTANE 3D TPU M95A on the market has passed the HP Jet Fusion 4200 series 3D printing solution certification, and is a TPU product that has passed such certification.
