Manufacturer of rare earth based SCR flue gas denitration catalyst completes pilot production of modified powder of rare earth based low temperature denitration catalyst

Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are one of the main atmospheric environmental pollutants, and controlling NOx emissions is the focus and difficulty of solving air pollution problems. Selective catalytic reduction technology (SCR) is currently the technology with the highest denitration efficiency and the most widely used technology. However, due to the biological toxicity of vanadium, this technology may cause serious damage to the ecological environment, and has been banned by many developed countries. Therefore, the development of new green and environmentally friendly non-vanadium-based low-temperature denitration catalysts is the key to controlling NOx emissions under low-temperature conditions. Rare earth CeO2 has been extensively researched and applied due to its excellent oxygen storage and redox properties, but Ce-based denitration catalysts have problems such as poor low-temperature activity, weak resistance to water and sulfur, and industrial application under medium and low temperature conditions is difficult .

In response to the above-mentioned problems, the team of Tang Zhicheng, a researcher from the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, after years of basic research and after completing a small laboratory test, recently completed a ton-scale pilot scale-up production at a cooperative enterprise. In the production process, the Lanzhou Institute of Chemistry, Inner Mongolia Seagate Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. and cooperative enterprises cooperated to complete the production of 6 batches of 12 tons of modified powder. Through this enlargement, Lanzhou Chemicals has mastered the production process of modified powder of rare earth-based low-temperature SCR denitration catalyst and related technical parameter packages, which has verified the feasibility of the technology and laid the foundation for the subsequent industrial production and application of rare earth-based medium-low temperature SCR denitration catalyst. A good research foundation.
