NAGASE Specialty Materials Co., Ltd. announced that it has cooperated with Asahi Kasei to become an authorized distributor of Duranate™ isocyanate, which is used for the polymerization and crosslinking of highly weather-resistant polyurethane. The technical account manager of NAGASE Specialty Materials Co., Ltd. will be Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Serves customers in Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Duranate™ is a series of hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI)-based polyisocyanate curing agents from Asahi Kasei. Duranate™ has many types: biuret, low-viscosity and ultra-low-viscosity trimer, multifunctional with fast drying characteristics, low-temperature curing blocking type and highly flexible adduct. Duranate™ has excellent weather resistance and color retention, good chemical resistance and abrasion resistance, and good compatibility and drying properties. Suitable for coatings, adhesives, gravure printing, offset printing and screen printing inks for automotive, construction, industrial and consumer electronics products. Duranate™ low viscosity grades are suitable for polyaspartic acid paints that can dry quickly and have zero or low VOCs.
