Nanojet and ceramic 3D printing solution provider XJet invests $ 10 million to open manufacturing center in Israel

XJet is an Israeli company developing ceramic and metal 3D printing solutions. On October 22, 2018, Antarctic Bear learned from foreign media that Xjet has officially opened its additive manufacturing center in Rehovot. The Rehovot Technology Park covers an area of 8,000 square feet (743 square meters) and has an investment of more than $ 10 million (69.29 million yuan). It is one of the world's largest metal and ceramic 3D printer centers, and is composed entirely of the XJet Carmel AM system.

The XJet Carmel series AM system uses XJet's NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) patented technology to build objects using nanoparticle inks of any material to achieve ceramic and metal 3D printing. More specifically, XJet's NanoParticle Jetting technology fills solid nanoparticles in liquid suspensions. When materials are loaded into a 3D printer, they are sprayed using a complex nozzle system that deposits ultra-fine droplets of construction and ink from the supporting material. Onto the build tray. Inside the construction envelope, the extremely high temperature effectively vaporizes the liquid suspension of ink, forming a dense layer made of ceramic or metal. Finally, once the printing process is complete, the printed part can be sintered and the support material can be removed.

Thanks to its unique approach, NPJ technology can produce highly complex parts with ultra-fine details, smooth surfaces and precise accuracy. According to the company, the AM Center aims to support XJet in developing new 3D printing materials and applications.

XJet CEO Hanan Gothait said: "The new AM Center is a key part of our pursuit of extensive multi-material printing. The XJet Carmel AM system currently offers one of two printing materials, stainless steel or zirconia. Our vision is to be on the same part A platform for printing multiple metals and ceramics. We will use AM Center to develop and demonstrate professional applications, print test parts for our global customer base, and try out new metal and ceramic materials. "

"We have high goals and expectations for the AM Center, so, under Dr. Ophira Melamed, we put the best resources here. Under her expert guidance, I am glad to see that the AM Center will provide what."

XJet also announced that it has selected Carfulan in the UK as its first official distributor, and that the company will receive its first Carmel AM system by the end of the year.

"I am very proud of the progress made by the XJet team last year. In addition to opening the AM Center, which will speed up XJet operations, we hosted our first open event at YBI in North America and started working with a turnkey manufacturing company," Gothait "NPJ technology has brought about change in the field of metal and ceramic additive manufacturing, and we are working to build an infrastructure to support our rapid business growth. We look forward to sharing more progress in the wider community next month."
