New high-strength high-modulus carbon fiber high-pressure gas cylinder developed by China passes the test

Ningbo Material has developed a new type of high-strength and high-mold carbon fiber as a raw material, and completed the performance evaluation of the high-pressure gas cylinder formed by the composite material winding process. The high-pressure gas cylinder has a volume of 3.5L and a weight of 1.5Kg. In tests such as experiments and fatigue tests, under the condition of nominal working pressure of 35.0MPa, the actual burst pressure reaches 60MPa, and the fatigue test results show that the number of fatigue failures of the cylinder is 834 times, far higher than the factory standard of 500 times.

The high-pressure gas storage cylinder is a new type of high-strength and high-modulus carbon fiber independently developed by Ningbo Material Research Institute.
