Nitto Denko Co., Ltd. and SCLH Optoelectronic Film Co., Ltd. signed a series of “Technical Support Contracts” agreements. According to the contract, Nitto Denko will provide technical support for the world’s first 2,500mm ultra-wide PMMA polarizer film production line under construction by SCLH Optoelectronics.
The contract stipulates that the technical support period is three years. During the contract period, Nitto Denko will provide technical support for SCLH Optoelectronics in equipment design and equipment operation in stages according to the construction progress, ensuring that the specifications and performance of SCLH base film products will quickly match downstream after mass production Polarizer customer needs.
In recent years, Nitto Optoelectronics has cooperated closely with domestic polarizer manufacturers. In addition to SCLH Optoelectronics, Nitto Optoelectronics has also started a five-year technical cooperation with three polarizer manufacturers including HZJJ Group, TWQM and SZSB Optoelectronics.
The main way for their cooperation is through the grant of patents to Nitto Optoelectronics to help companies such as HZJJ Group, TWQM and SZSB Optoelectronics build 2,500mm ultra-wide polarizer production lines. Under this cooperative approach, there are currently several 2,500mm wide polarizer production lines in mainland China under construction or planned to be built. It is expected that two 2,500mm wide polarizer production lines will be put into production in 2020, namely TWQB Line 2 And Line 7 of SZSB Optoelectronics.
Under such circumstances, as a supplier of HZJJ Group, TWQM, and SZSB Optoelectronics, SCLH Optoelectronics decided to take the lead in the construction in order to better meet the customer’s demand for base film in the future production line of 2,500mm ultra-wide and wide polarizer The world’s first 2,500mm wide polarizer base film production line. This production line is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2020 and enter the commissioning phase.
At the same time, because HZJJ Group, TWQM, SZSB Optoelectronics and other companies have accepted the patent grant of Nitto Optoelectronics, in order to provide better products, SCLH Optoelectronics also chose to cooperate with Nitto Denko’s technical cooperation, so the biggest benefit is to help Longhua Optoelectronics. Match directly with downstream customers.
SCLH’s 2,500mm production line products are PVA protective films (base films) for polarizers. Among polarizers, the PVA film plays the role of polarizing light, but the PVA film is very susceptible to the influence of external moisture to change its orientation and affect the polarization effect. Therefore, a PVA protective film (based on Film), one polarizer requires two base films for PVA polaron protection.
