Furanamine is a new Mannich base curing agent derived from pentane-rich biomass. Subsequent reactions with multiple amines can affect processability and provide new solutions for low temperature curing and curing under adverse conditions, while maintaining regulatory compliance.
These characteristics make it an ideal modifier for primary or other curing agents. It is used to formulate solvent-free or high solids, low VOC maintenance special marine coatings, flooring and bio-based composite substrate systems. .
The new chemistry is patent pending and CPS is further developing its products. Bitrez will be licensed by CPS to produce furan cumin.
