Technical background

With the rise of the high-tech industry, high-purity rare earth metals and alloy targets have been continuously used in new energy vehicles, integrated circuits, new displays, 5G communications and other fields, becoming an indispensable key material for the development of high-tech industries. Its purity requirements are increasingly strict and diversified, and the demand is also increasing. For example, the piezoelectric film prepared by rare earth scandium aluminum alloy target is the core material of 5G communication, phased array radar, and electronic countermeasure system filter. When the content of doped Sc reaches 43%, the piezoelectric coefficient of the film can be increased by 400% ; In the metal cathode layer of the OLED display, metal ytterbium replaces the magnesium / silver cathode, which can solve the folding problem; rare earth permanent magnets for new energy vehicles and compressors can reduce high-priced rare earth metals through the penetration of rare earth terbium dysprosium target film The dosage is 90%; integrated circuits below 10nm line width use rare earth as high dielectric material and metal gate, which can solve the core leakage problem.

Rare earth metals cover 16 kinds of elements (except promethium), which are active in nature, high in melting point, and difficult to purify; poor plasticity of metals and alloys, and difficult to deform and process. Project Description

BJYY's high-purity rare earth target research and development team creatively solved the key technologies, equipment and industrialization of high-purity rare earth metal and alloy target preparation, and successfully developed rare earth metal purification-ultra-clean smelting-low defect casting -Precision deformation processing full-scale large-scale high-purity rare earth target preparation technology, forming a unique high-purity rare earth target preparation technology route. Developed Erbium, lanthanum, gadolinium and scandium high-purity targets for electronic information and high-purity ytterbium evaporative materials for OLEDs. Large-scale production of high-performance rare earth permanent magnet Terbium and dysprosium targets with a purity greater than 3N5 and a maximum processing size of 440mm, 12 pieces of large-size targets are produced in a single operation, the total material rate is higher than 85%, and the target quality and technical level are internationally advanced.

Through the application of basic research, common key technology research, engineering and industrial development, the R & D team has established a complete, efficient, green and large-scale industrial chain of high-purity rare earth metals and targets, and built the largest domestic high-end annual output of 60,000 pieces. Terbium and dysprosium sputtering target production line for magnets can prepare dozens of 12-inch high-purity Yttrium, lanthanum, erbium and other rare-earth targets and high-purity ytterbium evaporation materials for electronic information. Terbium and dysprosium targets are used steadily in more than 20 well-known domestic and foreign companies, with a market share of over 90%; high-purity Yttrium, lanthanum, erbium and other targets fill the domestic gap.
