The new polymer plastic formwork developed by GZLY Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. played a considerable role in the construction of the artificial island round the island ’s Yuelanggou across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Cross-Sea Project. The plastic template is made of thermoplastic long fiber reinforced polymer composite material. The weight of a 1m3 mold is about 10kg, which is only 1/7 of that of a steel mold. It also has the characteristics of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high strength.
The plastic formwork adopts a unified combination component, which can be flexibly and quickly templated. The construction personnel can quickly master the operation with only simple training. At the same time, there are no problems such as nails and spikes in the formwork during construction, which can greatly reduce the hidden safety hazards of construction.
