Roboze’s upcoming Xtreme 3D printer series and high-performance 3D printing materials

Roboze is an Italian 3D printer manufacturer whose main business is producing 3D printers printed with high-performance industrial-strength materials. Now, the company is upgrading FFF 3D printing and announced that it will show its next-generation product, the Xtreme 3D printer series, at "formnext Frankfurt International Precision Molding and 3D Printing Manufacturing Exhibition" next week.

Roboze's upcoming Xtreme 3D printer series and high-performance 3D printing materials

The new generation of Xtreme 3D printer series, consisting of Roboze One Xtreme and Roboze One 400 Xtreme, will strengthen the company's PEEK and CARBON PEEK solutions for FFF 3D printing, bringing users closer to true additive manufacturing production.

Roboze has become a major manufacturer with its innovative technologies, such as the tapeless system, which allows operators from all over the world to 3D print finished parts and prototypes with 25 micron mechanical tolerances, and all can guarantee its repeatability.

The launch of the new Xtreme series is a bigger deal for the company as it establishes the point of contact between the production of the ARGO 500 3D printer and its desktop One and One 400 systems.

Rocco Maggialetti, Roboze's head of mechanical design, explained: "The strong cooperation between all members of the Roboze R & D team has enabled us to design this new system, improving the previous system and ensuring a longer machine life.

The newly designed Xtreme 3D printer cover is made of metal sheet, designed to reduce the maintenance of the machine while increasing its robustness. In addition to providing a more elegant aesthetic, this also makes the Roboze Xtreme series extremely quiet.

The Roboze One Xtreme and Roboze One 400 Xtreme 3D printers were created by Roboze engineers who have changed the status quo to provide a universal and accurate 3D printing solution. The series features a new advanced sensor system including end points for leveling semi-automatic planning, WiFi and USB connections, closed-loop control motor encoders for monitoring the 3D printing process, and optical limiters / contactless devices to reduce Maintenance costs because it reduces typical problems.

The tapeless system of this new 3D printer series is also improved from the original, and is characterized by a machined frame with electroless nickel plating. This can reduce the contact friction between the rack and the pinion, thereby improving printing speed, and improving wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

The Xtreme series also includes a Cabinet Support System (SSC) for unloading machine vibrations and controlling material temperature, as well as storing coils so they are not exposed to atmospheric media. Like the ARGO 500 and Roboze One 400, these new 3D printers are also equipped with a vacuum box for vacuum generation, which provides first-level flatness and greater print surface adhesion for faster 3D printing.

Roboze 3D printers are impressive, thanks in large part to the versatility of the materials they can handle. Many of them were developed specifically to increase the strength of parts that have different characteristics from metals. In addition to the 3D printer series produced by Xtreme desktops, Roboze has introduced several new materials.

Carbon polypropylene is one of them and is suitable for automotive applications because it has the same high performance as polypropylene and combines the advantages of carbon fiber.

"Compared with polypropylene, carbon polypropylene's carbon fibers provide a 25% increase in resistance. The addition of specially selected carbon fibers improves the mechanical properties of the material and increases its HDT performance even at higher temperatures than PEEK. "Said Dr. Maria Luisa Geramo, Roboze's head of applications for R & D materials engineer.

According to Roboze, its new polypropylene material has excellent electrical insulation properties and high abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and impact resistance, and its new glass PA (polyamide with glass balls) is a good electrical insulator Compared with standard polyamide, it has lower hygroscopicity and higher mechanical properties, so it can ensure high dimensional stability.

Carbon fiber reinforced PEEK has excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability, and is the only new material that can be used alone in the Roboze One 400 Xtreme.
