On June 4, 2018, SABIC launched a new polycarbonate (PC) sheet, Lexan Margard FHC10.
It is based on a sturdy polycarbonate (PC) -based, unique plastic hard coating that has a superior optical quality and can be processed like a normal PC film after pre-curing.
Lexan Margard FHC10's moldable silicon-based hardcoat uses dual-cure (thermal / thermal) technology. The coating can be pre-cured to the point that it is as easy to handle and manufacture as any ordinary PC board, but it can be shaped in a limited number of times while maintaining sufficient flexibility. The coating maintains excellent adhesion even when exposed to temperature cycling, water contact, and high humidity conditions.
