On October 10, 2018, RWDC Industries received a total investment of USD 13 million from Vodafone Financial Group of Singapore, China Economic Cooperation Group and Ridgevale Enterprises.
RWDC Industries, located in Singapore, was established on January 01, 2015, referred to as RWDC. The main direction is to develop cost-effective biopolymer material solutions, dedicated to the research and development of environmentally friendly materials. The linear polyester PHA produced by it is naturally produced by bacterial fermentation of vegetable oil or sugar, and is currently the only biodegradable bioplastic that is generally recognized as commercially viable. PHA has a wide range of applications, suitable for disposable food service supplies (tableware, drinking straws and cup lids), consumer goods packaging such as food and beverages, diapers, wipes and agricultural films.
