After the project is completed and put into production, it is expected to become the largest single-inch 8-inch integrated circuit production line in the world.
SMIC Tianjin is located in Tianjin Xiqing Economic and Technological Development Zone. It currently has a mature 8-inch integrated circuit production line and has achieved a monthly production capacity of 45,000 pieces. After the expansion project is fully produced, SMIC Tianjin's monthly production capacity will reach 150,000 8-inch wafers. Plant progress and production capacity arrangements will be based on customer market demand. The main product applications include Internet of Things related, fingerprint identification, power management, digital and analog signal processing, automotive electronics, etc.
