Solidscape, a subsidiary of French 3D printer maker Prodways Group, has launched the first digital light processing (DLP) 3D printer

This resin 3D printer integrates Prodways' digital light processing technology, MovingLight and Solidscape's manufacturing strength, and is specially developed for jewelry manufacturing. Custom resins for printers were developed by DeltaMed GmbH, another subsidiary of Prodways. EmeraldCast, DiamondCast, and ProtoCast are three of the custom resins introduced at the same time as the printer, each of which was developed specifically for specific applications in jewelry.

According to reports, about 10% of global jewelry uses 3D printing directly, which is mainly concentrated in the high-end jewelry segment. In order to promote the entire jewelry industry's transformation to direct 3D printing, Prodways set a goal for Solidscape to increase the proportion of 3D direct printing of jewelry to 50% within 5 years. Therefore, the goal of this DLP 3D printer is to make jewelry manufacturing more convenient, more efficient and more accurate while guaranteeing profit.

Founded in 1994, Solidscape has more than 20 years of experience in designing and manufacturing high-precision 3D printers. Its printers are capable of producing objects with wax patterns, making them the ideal choice for lost wax casting and mold manufacturing applications. In 2018, Prodways acquired Solidscape from Stratasys.
