Solvay expands aerospace composite materials: epoxy resin, phenolic resin, bismaleimide, polyamide, prepreg, and woven fabrics capabilities

Solvay, a specialty chemicals and materials production company, recently held a groundbreaking ceremony, marking the start of an expansion project at its aerospace composites manufacturing facility in Greenville, Texas, USA. The expansion plan will increase resin mixing capabilities.

Tracy Price, Executive Vice President of Global Business at Solvay Composites, said, "The plant in Greenville, Texas is a strategic base for Solvay. In recent years we have invested millions of dollars in capacity and modern production to achieve This double-digit employment growth. This new expansion project will allow us to further meet the growing demand for Solvay's market-leading autoclave technology. "

Solvay said the expansion is in response to growing demand from commercial and military aviation customers. The plant currently has 300 full-time employees.

The Texas plant produces resins including epoxy resins, phenolic resins, bismaleimide, polyamides, prepregs, and woven fabrics.
