Taiwan thermoplastic polyurethane manufacturer Dingji Advanced Materials has entered the US market.
The company opened an 80,000-square-foot (7,400-square-meter) warehouse near its office in Secaucus.
“Dingji is one of the world’s largest thermoplastic polyurethane manufacturers,” said Jim Zauderer of Zauderer Associates, which has been Dingji’s U.S. distributor since 2017. “It’s very powerful in Asia, and it’s the same in Europe.”
This 37-year-old company has 60 extrusion lines in Taiwan, producing films, pipes, cords and profiles. In addition, the company has on-site injection molded polyurethane seals.
Zauderer said it employs more than 700 people in a 1 million square foot (93,000 square meter) facility and is expanding production capacity in Taiwan.
Dingji is listed on the Taipei Stock Exchange. In the second quarter of 2018, the company reported sales of NT $ 114 billion (US $ 38 million) and pre-tax profit of NT $ 33.4 million (US $ 1 million).
Dingji`s TPU products include Provecta film, which can replace rubber and traditional plastics; Advanta film, which is used for breathable and waterproof clothing; Orkesta composite material, which can replace microfiber or leather in footwear and clothing; Perfola air hose and water Tube; Aldura belt; and DingZing DZ seal.
In addition, the company’s TPU products are widely used in breathable fabrics for the automotive industry, sportswear and medical applications.
In addition to Secaucus, Dingji has branches in China, Vietnam and the Netherlands.
