Wayne, Pennsylvania, June 8, 2017 / PRNewswire /-Tekni-Plex announced a $ 15 million investment to build an advanced plant in Suzhou, China. This is Tekni-Plex's recent large single project investment, reflecting its growing demand in the biological and medical device fields in the Asia Pacific region. At present, some production lines of the new plant have begun operation.
The new factory covers an area of about 13,000 square meters and mainly produces Natvar, Colorite and Action Technology brand products in the early stage. The factory has three 100,000-level clean rooms and one 10,000-level clean room, which are used to produce medical-grade pipelines and fittings, as well as pharmaceutical packaging materials-grade pipelines.
Natvar's recently announced silicone tubing and microcatheters will also be produced in the new plant. The products can be used for drainage, feeding, peristaltic pumps, drug delivery, minimally invasive, extravasal, surgical supplies and other medical applications. The new plant will also produce medical grade PVC particles of the Colorite brand, as well as a series of spray tube products widely used in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, daily necessities and other fields.
