The Complicated shape and heavy-duty forging manufacturing technology won the China Science and Technology Award Hay:T03HLYZ

On December 16, Hay Think learned from HLYZ Heavy Machinery Technology Group that the company's "Key Technologies and Application of Green Manufacturing of Heavy and Complex Forgings" project won the second prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award.

The award scope of the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award covers the basic theories, inventions and creations in the machinery industry, as well as scientific and technological achievements with practical value produced by the research, development, experimentation, and popularization and application to improve productivity. This award is currently the only state-approved award in China's machinery industry. The outstanding projects that have won can be recommended to the national award review department as a candidate for the national award. The reward objects are organizations or individuals who have made creative contributions in the field of machinery industry science and technology, and have made outstanding contributions to promote the advancement of machinery industry science and technology and improve economic and social benefits.

The research team has actively carried out research on the key technologies and applications of green manufacturing of heavy and complex forgings, and invented a series of key technologies that enable the green manufacturing of heavy forgings with complex shapes, and realized the top cover, connecting section, bottom head and main head of the nuclear reactor pressure vessel. The near-net shape of key forgings such as pipes has rewritten the history that oversized special-shaped forgings can only be used for free forging, and greatly improved the equipment capabilities and manufacturing levels of Chinese forging manufacturers, thereby promoting the overall technological progress of the equipment manufacturing industry. The results have been applied to fast reactors, small reactors and other nuclear power and petrochemical equipment, laying a solid foundation for China's nuclear power equipment fast development.
