The titanium alloy drill pipe developed by BHNK Drill Pipe Technology Co., Ltd. successfully completed the first field test in well TS3CX well in Tahe Oilfield. Compared with traditional steel drill pipes, titanium alloy drill pipes have five advantages: lightweight, corrosion resistance, long life, high flexibility, and non-magnetic. The weight of titanium alloy drill pipes under the same specifications is 57% of that of conventional steel drill pipes, which means that the drilling tools using titanium alloy drill pipes are lighter, and lower grade drilling rigs can be used for drilling operations, which can greatly save Daily cost of drilling rigs, thereby reducing drilling costs.
