Jiangsu Tafir New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Tafir”) announced that “the first phase of the Qihe Tafir Power and Energy Storage Lithium Ion Cell Project” started in Qihe, Shandong Province. This project is Tafir's main production base in the north. After the completion of the first phase of the production line, it will form a power and energy storage lithium-ion battery capacity with an annual output of 2GWh. The first phase is planned to be completed in mid-2019, and the second and third phases will be completed. Will continue to build lithium battery production lines.

It is reported that the project mainly produces ternary batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries. The energy density of the ternary battery has exceeded 160Wh / kg and the cruising range has reached 570km. Among them, the lithium iron phosphate battery has more than 10,000 charge and discharge cycles. Can be widely used in various types of new energy vehicles, industrial and household energy storage.

In terms of energy density, Tafer's mass production of lithium iron phosphate square aluminum shell cells has an energy density of more than 160Wh / kg, which fully meets the highest national financial subsidy standards for new energy buses. Mass production of ternary square aluminum shell batteries The core energy density has reached 215Wh / kg, and products with energy densities of 245Wh / kg and 300Wh / Kg will be introduced in the future.

On the customer side, Tafel has established strategic cooperative relationships with many new energy vehicle companies such as Geely, FAW, Changan and Dongfeng. As of September 2018, 24 new energy vehicle announcement models have used Tafel batteries. In the 311th batch of "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, Tafel's NCM135Ah battery cells are equipped with Nanjing Jinlong's pure electric multipurpose passenger car system with an energy density of 161.6 Wh / kg.

In terms of production capacity, Tafel is widely deployed in Jiangsu, Shandong, Hubei, Guizhou, Guangdong and other places. It is expected that the entire Tafel company will achieve a total capacity of 8GWh by the end of this year. The total annual production capacity will reach 20GWh in 2021, and it is expected to achieve annual sales. The amount is 20 billion yuan.

It is important to note that from January to June this year, Tafel was in full production and some orders have been placed in the third and fourth quarters. In order to expand the scale effect, meet the increasing orders, and solve the problem of saturation of the production line, Tafel is in the process of expanding its production.

On June 13 this year, Tafel's new 15GWh power battery project was settled in Changde, Hunan. The first phase of the project is planned to achieve an annual capacity of 1.5GWh and an annual output value of 1.5 billion yuan.

On July 16, Tafir's "New Energy Storage Equipment R & D and Production Project" in Nanjing, Jiangsu was completed and put into operation. Its planned total investment was 8 billion yuan, which was completed in three phases. The annual production capacity of the first phase of the project was 1.5GWh. The second and third phases of the project are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019. By then, Tafel Nanjing Power Lithium-ion square aluminum battery research and development production base will achieve an annual production capacity of 6GWh and annual sales of RMB 6 billion.
